Jason still has a huge interest in Sienna Devereux; he's found out
the secret of DeVere Heights, and this alone would be enough to put some
people off; not Jason though, he's undeterred, and continues to admire
his high school friend Sienna. Jason's still loving his new life, and
despite the secrets of DeVere Heights; he still has a great fondness for
the place.Problems start to hit Jason though when his old friend
Tyler turns up in town. He's not in on the big DeVere Heights secret,
and is running from problems that he faces in his old town; what he
doesn't realise however is that by turning up in DeVere Heights, he's
therefore putting himself in even greater danger than ever before.Tyler
starts to pick fights with the wrong people, earns enemies that he
really shouldn't, and Tyler's life is now at threat. Jason has a lot on
his plate right now, and Tyler's turning up is providing him with many
more problems and making his life all the more confused and complicated.
Jason has a real crisis on his hands, and Tyler is creating huge
problems in DeVere Heights; problems that Jason could really do without.Initiation'
is an interesting continuation of the Vampire Beach series, and works
well in continuing the story of where Bloodlust' left off. Bringing
Jason's old friend Tyler into the series certainly provides for an
interesting read, and the further complication of Jason Freeman's life
really does come across very well here.Alex Duval provides a very
fun and enthralling read with Initiation', and portrays life in a world
of vampires in a very interesting manner. The book flows well, the plot
is always excellent, and the characterisation here is always supremely
strong.Initiation' is a very interesting novel, and continues the
Vampire Beach series incredibly well. It has you craving to read more,
and in 2007 Alex Duval followed the series on with Ritual'.
