My not story?

okay so i suck at writting stuff like spelling but i was ored in my spanish class cuse everyone was taking notes and so i created this!!!

if you like it awsome if you don't well you just hurt the feelings of smallish littlish girl
oh who am i kidding no one asked you if you dont like it

I awoke to the smell of beer.
The memories of last night came flodding back.
The man with the knife to my troat.
His foul lips pushing hard agianst mine.
Him pushing me into the fast moving river below.
My screams no one could here.
Climing out of the river only to colapse on the edge.
Finnaly now lost in the woods trying despritly to survive.

Is this a story or a poem?

It would be really good you should expand
and believe me don't worry to much about thinking what should happen in the story. Get started and then let your pen carry your hand away. AND WRITER'S BLOCK WILL COME! don't worry about it! if u get stuck ask for help! Also, if you can't figure out your way around writer's block for one story start a new one. The best thing you can do is just keep your mind active! Writing should be fun (unless it's a research paper, those were just invented to be torture)! You sound like you could be a great writer don't hesitate to continue.

that's great advice Alice.
another piece of advice: write for yourself. don't write for the praise or approval of others. if you write and post something that no one comments on, even though i know someone will, or if you use Quizilla and no one messages you about your work (happens to me with all my stuff) DON'T CARE ABOUT IT!! write because YOU care about what you write and YOU enjoy it.

thanks Yous as well that is a piece of advice that most people never figure out for themselves so bravo for bringing up that tid bit!

As did I and most every writer that HAS actually figured it out. I'm sure we all wish that when we started we had someone to sit us down and tell us every secret and tid bit there is to know. But that isn't the way life is.
Wouldn't it be easy if the world were that way? haha

Well I've never actually been in a relationship, but I still get what you mean. And I'm just glad there is someone else on here that isn't only on for RPing since that's what this site has come to, even though it isn't for that and it annoys me.

I personally dont even get the RPing i find it slightly wierd and not very enjoyable. I enjoy writing stories and creating my own picture perfect (or in some cases entirely wierd, and messed up) worlds.

same. I don't have a clue what the big deal about RPing is. I have tried it before, and I just don't get it. I'm a bit of a control freak when it comes to writing, so I can't just be unsure of what is going on. I need to make everything the way I want in a story that I'm writing.

I agree, this place is pretty dead (well.. zombie forum, duh O_O)
I mean it's been since october the last time I've post and they're nothing new.
That's a shame.

I really don't like that no one is posting on here. I come here for Gen Dead stuff, but no one seems to really talk about it any more, even though that's why the site exists.

Agreed! You are a good writer and you should continue! If not for us then just do it for yourself, writing can be the best release in the world (better than therapy!).

Very true, Alice. I write anything when I'm upset. Even if it turns out to be a jumbled mess of nonsensical words. No matter what, it always helps.
